Responsible use

Cold email has rules, and they are not optional

TaskWhole sends from your mailbox, under your name, to people you chose. That makes the rules yours as well, and a tool that stayed quiet about them would not be doing you a favour.

The law where you are

  • Identify yourself honestly. A real name, a real company, a real reply address. Most rules everywhere start here.
  • Make stopping easy. One sentence offering to stop, and honouring it immediately, satisfies more of the spirit than any footer.
  • Know whether you need consent. Several jurisdictions require it before the first message, business-to-business included. Check yours rather than assuming.
  • Keep a record. Where the address came from, and when you contacted them. TaskWhole keeps the second half; the first is yours.
A daily cap and a manual send are not compliance measures. They make bad behaviour slower, not lawful.

What the product will not help with

  • Sending to a scraped or purchased list at volume.
  • Hiding who you are, or disguising where mail came from.
  • Continuing to contact someone who asked you to stop.

A test that works better than the law

Would you send this message if the recipient could see the other forty going out the same morning? If the answer is no, the problem is the message, and no amount of technical care fixes it.
